What’s Wrong?




Selling religion is wrong. Because religion is not a commodity.  It’s not a cow.  It’s not a blessing.  It’s not even a comfort.

Have you felt the comfort of a god in your heart?  If not, your religion is false.  Give it up.  And search.  Search for the real religion.  There’s only one true religion.  The one which you feel in your heart.  The one which makes you feel comfortable with yourself.

There’s no panacea available anywhere.  Even religion is not a panacea.  You can’t ever feel comfortable in your heart as long as there are people who sell religion.  Can you rise above such people?  Can you find your god in your heart?  In spite of the priests?  In spite of politicians?  In spite of bad weather?

Are you honest to yourself?  If you are, you don’t need religion.  But there’s too much religion in the world. 

Too much religion.  That’s what’s wrong.

    Haha no,sir. I like that word because it reminds me of a special person whom i graciously love☺
    And about the 'religion' thing, I don't support any religion or its followers, sir. And i think the concept of religion itself is completely wrong. There are so many flaws in it that i don't want to explain because there are simply too many!

      Yes. Religion is good business now. I have seen the most perverted criminals passing off as godmen and their chelas. Buying and selling a whole range of things.

    This time I won't think your posts are anti religion. This post make so much sense,short and clear. Only if we are honest and true,we don't need a religion that's so true.
    Sometimes it is accompanied by fear too.

      My problems with religion are their misuses. I have been a victim of many religious crimes. I know that goodness of heart has little to do with religion.

    Completely agree with you. Religion makes us human and separates us from other animals, but when religion (or, people misusing religion) makes us act more like animal than humans, we should know it's not the kind of religion we need.

    Completely endorse your thoughts Sir. The feeling and belief of being truthful soothes me. Hence my religion is truth only. Mahatma Gandhi, therefore, had asserted - 'Truth is God' because truth only was God for him. And nothing else for sure !

The Little Girl

The Little Girl is a short story by Katherine Mansfield given in the class 9 English course of NCERT. Maggie gave an assignment to her students based on the story and one of her students, Athena Baby Sabu, presented a brilliant job. She converted the story into a delightful comic strip. Mansfield tells the story of Kezia who is the eponymous little girl. Kezia is scared of her father who wields a lot of control on the entire family. She is punished severely for an unwitting mistake which makes her even more scared of her father. Her grandmother is fond of her and is her emotional succour. An organisation that has 80,000 branches in India does not exist legally in any document. This is the cover story of The Caravan this month. By the way, The Caravan is one of the very few publications that still continues to exist in spite of being overtly critical of Narendra Modi and his Sangh Parivar. You’ve probably heard this joke. A young man walked into his office one morning and found a beautiful young lady sitting in his chair. He called the MD and said, “Sir, I have a problem.” The MD replied, “Don’t you know our company’s motto, young man?
