My India

“Where the king goes, the realm follows,” says a character in Game of Thrones.  It is the leader who shapes the country.  A visionary leader with practical acumen can transform the nation into a wonder.

I dream of an India with such a leader who will raise the country above its filthy poverty, illiteracy and superstitions, and abominable corruption in every quarter from religion to politics.

It is the leader who makes all the difference.  Right now India is led by a leader who promises much and delivers nothing.  Since the vast majority of people are steeped in poverty and ignorance, he continues to mesmerise them with rhetoric.  The poor idiots think that they are actually living in some paradise.  They are like the children who followed the pied piper.

India has tremendous resources and manpower neither of which is utilised properly.  Our politicians are utterly corrupt and insincere.  They work hand in hand with traders who are amassing riches beyond the imagination of the vast majority in the country.  India is being sold to a few traders by the politicians who get their due rewards.

India should go back to the people.  India belongs to the people theoretically at least.  Only a good leader can do that.  My dream is all about such a leader.  He is not in sight, however, not even in the distant, far distant horizon.
